This is a worthy sequel to the two previous parts of the Demon Cycle series.
I enjoyed the book very much and if not or a few flaws in the character building i would call it a masterpiece.
The world building is not so new and innovative but still very colorful and thorough . The magic system is quite original and i really enjoyed it being something new.
The only thing ,as i mentioned it above ,that didn't went so well by my opinion is the way how the characters developed in the time line.
It just didn't feel right how many of them changed their original nature in so huge amount like they where new persons all of sudden.
The main characters acted and spoke many times as i would never predicted and very much out of there primary role.

And one other thing..i must admit i felt quite cheated when i came to the last page of the book.
Don't know where did i get the notion that this is a trilogy(obviously it is not) ,but i kind of didn't expected this huge and by all means unnecessary cliffhanger.
Knowing that i have to wait for who knows how long for the story to be continued, just didn't get my sympathy for the writer very much up...
There are many good books series out there that sequels finish in a a well rounded manner, so that the readers don't get a hart attack but  still look forward for the next part.
Oh Peter ,why are you so cruel? :(
