The world “ended” because of a virus who killed 90% of the human population.
The story is about two friends Danny and Zoe.
We get to know them better through there email correspondence while trying to reach each other from different points of America.
Some survivors start developing supernatural powers. I liked that idea.
The whole concept is interesting enough, the story managed to suck me inn although I had to skip some parts – a very boring and repetitive thing- same events being described double- as they where really happening and then afterwards in the emails again.
That was very annoying.

First we read about the event in first person narration, then it is repeated in the email sent to the friend and it is kind of repeated again in the reply email..unbelievable!
How could the writers not see this will be boring to read over and over again?
I found it hard at times to concentrate at the two simultaneous stories. Sometimes i got confused at about who i am reading at the moment -Danny or Zoe .

But on the end , I did like the writing style, I found the characters good developed and likeable, the post apocalyptic world building is believable and the love scenes are nice.
The books speeds considerably up after 40% ,when the email repetition finally stops.
I would give the book 4 stars if it wasn't for this unfortunate beginning.
